Every Tuesday we'll post a recap of the USDA Crop Progress Report. This week we are looking at about 22% planted as of April 26th. Key states on either end of the spectrum are Iowa and Illinois. These neighboring states are at 47% and 4% respectively. Illinois farmers continue to sit on the sidelines as they wait for the rains to stop.

Soybean export sales for the week showed 30.7 million bushels of old crop along with 12.3 million bushels of new crop were sold for export. Pre report estimates by the trade showed their high estimate was 36.7 million bushels.
