The US Census Bureau reported that during the month of March, US Oil Mills crushed 152.63 million bushels of soybeans. While 6.2 million higher than February's crush, it was 3.3 million bushels less than the March 2007 Crush. Pre-release estimates suggested that the March Crush would be in the 155.95 million bushel range.
Soybean Oil stocks for March were reported at 2.91 billion pounds. This is less than last month's 3.08 billion pounds and last year's 3.36 billion pounds.
Soybean Meal data showed that there were 358.3 thousand short tons (tst) in stocks. This is more than last month's 306.4 tst as well as January's 260.6 tst. This should be viewed as neutral to bearish and shows that the bean complex is more focused on soybeans and bean oil rather than meal at this time.
