USDA Raises Export Projections

Corn WASDE Highlights
USDA's month of April projected ending stocks for corn at 1.238 billion bushels was within the trade range of pre-released estimates. Allendale views the domestic data as neutral. However world stocks of corn shrank by more than 1 million metric tonnes

Soybean WASDE Highlights
USDA's month of April projected ending stocks for soybeans at 160 million bushels was within the trade range of pre-release estimates and 4 million bushels away from the average estimate of 156 million bushels. A bigger surprise was the 1.86 million metr

USDA On Beef
USDA also made some changes to their beef balance sheet in the April supply and demand report. The 2008 beef production was increased by 145 million lbs to 26.682 billion. It was interesting to see USDA drop their import estimate by 140 million at 2.930
