The US has banned Chinese chicken for around a year and the House of Representatives is ready to vote to renew the ban soon. That ban is found in funding for the USDA. In April China responded by filing a complaint with the WTO. Last week they unofficially banned US chicken. The Deputy US Trade Representative has been sent for a five day trip to China to prepare the way for higher level negotiations soon.
