Who doesn't love receiving a package in the mail? How about one you get to eat AND feel good about?
By far the biggest excuse, er… obstacle, for eating well is not having access to the good stuff. Whether your pantry/fridge is empty or your local stores do not carry the right products, there are services that can fill in the blanks. Here’s a shortlist of companies that truly deliver:

How to feel good about eating MORE nachos.
What if someone told you it was okay to eat MORE nachos… would you do it? Me too.
When you bake your own chips (which happen to taste just as good as the fried kind), you can double your portion size and slash the fat. GENIUS!
The standard chip serving is 1 ounce (roughly 8 chips) and contains 140 cals and 6g fat. This D.I.Y. version gives you 18 chips but only contains 150 cals and 2g fat. More chips means more surface area to load up on fiber (beans), fresh produce (salsa, peppers and lettuce) and healthy fats (avocado/guac). Here’s how:
1) Take a head count. How many people are you serving? Factor 3 tortillas per person.
2) Stack and slice. Cut your tortilla into 6 wedges.
3) Mist and season. Arrange tortilla wedges on a baking sheet in a single layer. Mist with cooking spray and season with sea salt. To spice things up, sprinkle with chipotle powder.
4) Bake. Once oven reaches 400 F, bake chips for 10 minutes or until crispy.
5) Pile it on. Gather chips in the center of the pan and top with your favorite ingredients like black beans, grilled chicken/lentils, bell peppers, sliced jalapenos, and cheese. Place pan back in the over for 3 minutes, or until cheese melts.
6) Add sides. Top with shredded lettuce/spinach and serve with salsa, guac, and plain yogurt in place of sour cream.

Dear Laura, I just learned some devastating news today… my mom has cancer. So many thoughts are going through my head. Is there anything I can do or make, from a nutrition standpoint, to help her fight this heinous disease?
Dear Friend: My thoughts are with you and your mom (virtual card here). Without knowing much about her diagnosis or prognosis, I do know that certain foods, herbs and spices can offer exceptional anti-cancer properties.
Additionally, what she puts on her fork can lessen the common side effects she may experience, like nausea, fatigue and muscle loss. For example, studies suggest the oils in parsley have strong anti-tumor properties, especially with regard to lung tumors. Parsley also may neutralize carcinogens (cancer-causing compounds) present in cigarette smoke, charcoal grill smoke and fried foods.
